Plot: Living among the citizens of the infamous New Mexico city of Roswell are four who are not there by choice. They are there to follow a destiny given to them by the members of their dying race, a race that they are someday destined to save. This is the background behind the WB series “Roswell”. Max Evans, Isabel Evans, Michael Guerin and Tess Harding are teenage humans with extraordinary gifts – gifts that are “not-of-this-earth”. They are human/alien hybrids, sent here as replacements for the royalty of an alien race. Their counterparts have already perished in a war of attrition, thus one day, the “royal four” will return to their home planet and save their race. Before a fateful day in 1999, the teens hid their gifts. The event that forever changed their lives was when Max healed Liz Parker (a classmate) after she was fatally shot in the stomach in a dispute between two customers at the restaurant where she waitresses. A close relationship then developed between Max and Liz. It was later mirrored by a relationship between Lizs best friend Maria Deluca and Michael. Central to the first season were the relationships between the hybrids and their human companions. That focus has shifted during the dramas second season. “Roswell” is now distinctly a science-fiction show built on the relationships between humans and aliens.

Plot Outline: When society turns their back on reformed felons, the town of Graves End welcomes them but when the ex-cons disappear, FBI agent Paul Rickman comes looking for them and discovers more than he expected.
Plot: In Graves End, the four year-old son of the wealthy financier Tag Graves is kidnapped and the criminals demand a ransom of six million dollars. FBI agent Paul Rickman is assigned to the case that ends with the cruel death of the child and the disappearance of the requested amount. The kidnapper Luke Devilyn is arrested but is released after his trial due to fails in the evidences. He returns to Graves End, a place where the 666 dwellers welcome ex-cons rejected by other towns. When Luke Devilyn is found dead in the woods nearby the town, agent Rickman notes that the criminals that move to Graves End simply vanish, and he returns to the town for further investigation. He meets Sheriff Hooper and recognizes him from a case of bad temper and attitude with great repercussion in the past. Meanwhile, the psychopath Billy also comes to the town leaving a trail of blood behind.

Plot: In 1159, during an attempted coup, one of the courts ladies in waiting disguises herself as the lords wife, and a loyal samurai conveys her from the city. This diversion allows the royal family to escape. After the coup fails, the samurai asks his lord to let him marry the woman as his reward. The lord grants the request and then discovers she is already married to one of the ruling familys lieges. The samurai clings to his desire, importuning her to leave her husband, then challenging the husband to release her. Although the husband stays calm and she stays faithful, the samurai remains intemperate and stubborn, with tragic consequences.

Plot Outline: A reporter hired to write the official biography of Ty Cobb discovers just how dark the baseball legends real story is.
Plot: Al Stump is a famous sports-writer chosen by Ty Cobb to co-write his official, authorized autobiography before his death. Cobb, widely feared and despised, feels misunderstood and wants to set the record straight about the greatest ball-player ever, in his words. However, when Stump spends time with Cobb, interviewing him and beginning to write, he realizes that the general public opinion is largely correct. In Stumps presence, Cobb is angry, violent, racist, misogynistic, and incorrigibly abusive to everyone around him. Torn between printing the truth by plumbing the depths of Cobbs dark soul and grim childhood, and succumbing to Cobbs pressure for a whitewash of his character and a simple baseball tale of his greatness, Stump writes two different books. One book is for Cobb, the other for the public.

Anachronisms: In the panoramic shot of of downtown Reno, modern-day casinos are visible that did not exist when Ty Cobb lived in the area.

• Most of the scenes filmed in a ballpark were filmed at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama. Rickwood Field is designed from the old Forbes Field in Pittsburgh.
• Despite how he was portrayed in the film, the real Mickey Cochrane was able to manage the Detroit Tigers to a playoff appearance and serve in WW II.
• Tommy Lee Jones had broken his leg prior to filming. He performed most of his role in a cast. The scene in the ballgame was shot last, when he had regained some mobility.
