Plot Outline: In the police investigation of a brutal crime scene, one man was at the center of it all: legendary porn star John Holmes.
Plot: John Holmes (Val Kilmer) was a legend of the porn industry and revered in circles as a stud. But in 1981, years after his successful career and star fading, Holmes was a desperate man with his own internal demons to live up to. Hes estranged from his wife (Lisa Kudrow), holding onto a relationship with his teenage mistress (Kate Bosworth), and living as a junkie in search of his next fix. But one fateful night left four people dead and John as a key suspect in one of the most grisly murders in Los Angeles. Was he partly responsible for what happened at Wonderland Avenue?

Crazy Credits: We know about 1 Crazy Credits. One of them reads:
“score recorded and mixed by Fredrik Sarhagen” is credited twice.

Goofs: We know about 17 goofs. Here comes one of them:
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): During a television news clip about the murders, the reporter says the Wonderland Murders is the most heinous since the Tate-Labianca murders in 1968. The murders took place in 1969.

Trivia: There are 15 entries in the trivia list – like these:

    • The Herald Examiner location in downtown Los Angeles, where the police station and biker bar scenes were shot, caught fire on the last day of shooting. The cast and crew had to be evacuated.
    • The film is based on the incident known as either the Laurel Canyon Murders or the Wonderland Murder Case that actually happened in the Hollywood Hills section of Los Angeles in July, 1981.
    • Matt Dillon was the first choice to play John Holmes but dropped out to direct his movie City of Ghosts (2002).
